FAQ

What mental health conditions do you treat?

At Sifa Health, we offer a comprehensive range of mental health treatment options to ensure that each client can find the most suitable treatment for their specific needs. Sifa Health provides treatment for mental health conditions such as: attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), anxiety and stress, bipolar disorder, sleep disorders, major depressive disorder (MDD), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), trauma or post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), treatment-resistant depression (TRD), and more.

Our providers are available for telehealth consultations.

Online sessions enable you to see a provider from the comfort of your own home, at a time that suits you best, through our user-friendly scheduling platform.

Initial psychiatric evaluation appointments are 45 minutes to 1 hour long.

Most follow-up sessions are 20-30 minutes, but they may be scheduled for longer to best serve the needs of the individual patient.

A review of your psychiatric history, presenting symptoms, current medications, and lifestyle will be discussed during the initial psychiatric evaluation. The provider will gather the required documentation to adequately assess, diagnose, and treat the patient.

The patient will be given treatment recommendations and discuss potential side effects, efficacy, and duration of treatment. The provider will develop a treatment plan that best suits the needs of the patient. The patient has the right to refuse treatment or inquire about alternative treatment options. If it is outside the scope of our practice or a higher level of care is warranted, we will provide referrals to a provider or facility that can better serve your needs.

Most follow-ups occur between 1 week to 2 months. Rarely, 3-month appointments are scheduled for patients (usually only for established patients who have been stable on medication for a prolonged period of time).

We use secure, encrypted platforms for telehealth to ensure your sessions stay private. Your provider will follow strict privacy practices and adhere to applicable regulations.

While client confidentiality is fundamental, exceptions may apply in cases such as threats to self or others, suspected abuse of minors, or legal requirements. Your clinician will discuss these limits at the start of your care with us.
